Getting Here

The nearest major airport to Portsmouth Naval Medical Center is the Norfolk International Airport, located about 7 miles from the shipyard. Another major airport is the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport which services domestic flight and is located about 23 miles from the Portsmouth Medical Center. Taxi service is available from the airport to the base. Military personnel can contact the Navy representative on duty at the airport information booth. The booth is open seven days a week form 0800-1200.

If arriving by car, take I-95 to Route #58 East towards Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Take Route #58 east to Route #64 West to Northampton Blvd. Exit at Route 13 East and stay on Northampton to the Independence Blvd exit and follow signs to the Naval Weapons Station Yorktown Portsmouth Medical Center.
